Painted at Falland II Residency in Søndreland, Norway. Summer 2014.
A collaboration with the studio space. The sun came through the spaces between the wooden planks of the barn were
the starting point for each painting. And then the beams of light would project lines on the floor and the walls and
move from morning into early evening and I would follow them by marking their progress with paint. There were
several paintings happening at various stations throughout the barn. The sun and the clouds decided when and
where.Like waking up with the sun. A solar clock. The beams conveyed time, and kept the action of painting in the
present.
